@Reddiver and mysterypool, there are already RPGs with this theme, but this game is actually based on the second one (even though it was realeased way after the third) , not the contrary.
This is an awesome game, like a platformer version of Epic Battle Fantasy 2 (where Lance is the enemy) and with challenging but not hard medals, and an interesting health/mana upgrading system (not by leveling up, but by just collecting it.) The equip bonuses and debuffs make the sets very balanced, the Ninja set is my favourite. An overall good game, and it was very clever for the addition of a game pause when selecting and casting spells and a heal spell, because it would be impossible to cast spells in mid-battle without getting serious damage, if not dying. This and other minor additions make this game even better. I give it a clean 5.

Awesome game, i would have wanted to see some little epilogue maybe (even something trivial like "Mario" getting a kiss from the princess) but the rest of the game is brilliant!
Very well made and fantastic music! I enjoyed this very much.
