Reviews for "I Can't Escape"

I should of expected a scary game from a name called I can't escape XD but it was done well I was scared even with friends in a light environment... probably the biggest scare i got was a ghost behind me... when I turned around good game creepy environment and fun scares. The eyes was a good touch to.

The game is amazing but a little bit scary because when you make it fullscreen you have the impression that something will pop up the music is creepy too the game is creepy
i think the maze is infinite that's a puzzle game
Anyways is almost imposible but is posible.
But Better not put screamers because i was in a room that haved 1 dooar and 4 normal walls and when i got there and i wanter to exit a ghost or something poped up i almost got a heart attack but anyways AMAZING!
The graphics is incredible!

Good golly, this is such a chilling game! The graphics on it are awesome, and the music is absolutely stunning! Every time it changed, I at first thought it was cool, then boy was it foreboding!

Jeez did the wall eyes creep me out! Heheh, reminded me a bit of Soul Edge.

...I hate you..

This game was so enticing and suspenceful! Though, with some tweaks, you could turn this into a real classic and probably make a little money off of it. This is why I think so (SPOILER ALERT!):

The game does get repetitive once you've figured out a lot of it, replay value becomes null eventually. The ghost(s) don't make you jump anymore, they make you think "oh damn.. one of these floors again". Dropping one floor makes it able to beat the first floor, all the awesomeness of the lower floors will not be experienced once a player figures this out.. So I had this in mind:
Needing an item (key, axe, maybe pulling a lever) to unlock the an exit. This should be placed at a random floor or floors. This is a challenge that will not get old, and will make every new game exciting; "Where will the item be? I hope I won't have to go too deep.." Also, one random monstrosity or maybe a zombie or two (that's up to you) could be placed on random floors.. With weak senses so it's not a 'game over' once you catch a glimpse of them.. Once one of those is met and it has seen you, having to shake it off will add a huge claustrophobic factor to the game. Footstep sounds and growling will make more sense in the game then.. + they could actually be realistically implemented by making them weaker or stronger depending on how nearby such a monster is. To not make it too hard.. You might have to get rid of the ghost and tweak some other things.

If you'd do that, I'd definitely pay for that game and I'm sure others would too.

As far as Newgrounds goes, this is still a 5/5 to me, even if there is room for making this a classic!

The axe idea is great - I could make that the key to breaking through cracked walls (a pick-axe). Then, you'd have to break through walls to "cheat" and climb your way back up and escape! That'd give players more reason to go deeper, and still hope of escaping no matter how deep you got. And yeah, we had planned for more events, content and creature in the dungeon, but with a one month limit, a lot of that had to be cut.

I might try to release a "full" version with a lot of changes from suggestions and a lot of the ideas I originally wanted to put in there, and with improvements to movement and such too! I'll keep you guys posted on that, but I have a few other game ideas I want to try first!
