Reviews for "no-one has to die."

Great game! But found an error. In one part Steve says: "Our visitor knows what THEY'RE doing. THEY'LL save you". Visitor is only one. It should have been he/she's and he/she'll.

Great game! Such a brilliant concept! Excellent!

However - one flaw: Whenever someone enters the Tempest Machine and their minds travel back in time ... their body dies. What happens to Christina's mom (entered the machine and body died) is not an exception, but happens every time, in every universe. There was no universe where another version of Christina's mom entered the body and she lived on. It's impossible. Here's why:

1) When your mind goes back in time, it enters your body in some version of the universe, overwriting the mind that universe. So, Subject Bob from Timeline A time travels back 1 year and enters Bob's body in Timeline B.

2) From that point on, Bob in Timeline B has all the memories of Bob from Timeline A, up until he entered the Tempest Machine.

3) But in Timeline A, any version of Bob's consciousness that entered Bob's body in Timelinee A would enter Bob's body NOT at the moment he stepped into the Tempest, but 1 year ago. And that version of Bob would remember stepping into the Tempest.

4) So, for any version of Bob in Timeline A to live past stepping into the Tempest, he would have to be a version of Bob's consciousness that remembered stepping into the Tempest and traveling back in time to enter Bob's body in Timelinse A. And so when Bob steps in the Tempest, he already remembers stepping into the Tempest before. And before that. And before that.

5) If Bob is stepping into the Tempest for the first time (and some version of Bob still lives past it, and doesn't die), then he already remembers doing this. Because the Bob that enters his body would have to be one that's already did it and traveled back one year. Which means that version of Bob is stepping into the Tempest a second time. But then post-Tempest Bob also has to be one that traveled back a second time ... to a year ago, which means for that version of Bob, this is actually his third time. And so on and so on.

Therefore, for Bob to enter the Tempest and still have a living version of himself in that timeline, he needs to have entered the Tempest either infinity times (which is impossible) or zero times (which means he never entered the tempest).

Therefore, anyone who enters the Tempest ... they die in that timeline. So when Christina's mom entered the Tempest, her consciousness leaves her body, and no other consciousness enters it? That would have to happen everytime or the universe would crumble from logical paradox.

So when Christina enters the Tempest at the end ... she dies in this timeline.

This is fantastic! It must of took you ages to write this. The ending is great. A sequel would be pretty cool.

this is the best flash game on the planet, the story is just fantastic and I think this is going to be one of the best free flash games in history. Great job

Well, I finished it! This game confused me for a while, but I have to say, it was pretty fun!
