Reviews for "Mars Colonies Demo"

I can't seem to get any new colonists on the second level. No matter what I do I'm stuck with just the three.

THIS MUSIC IS PSYOPATHIC

I am going to start by saying this is a fantastic, well-thought out game despite what other reviewers have stated. This game is not designed to be impossible, nor easy. The fact that there is a limited amount of metal makes the missions much more pressing than if you had an infinite supply. I love that. I see many updates were added today and that's normal for a game that is just released. The mechanics are simple but the involvement is complex. My kind of game right there.
So, a few things that I feel could be better: screen size and introduction of new buildings. The colonists are small, and the screen is small. Trying to zoom the browser doesn't help for some reason. When launched in the pop-up, it is much larger, but I feel it could be a bit bigger because I find myself squinting too often. Understanding mechanics and the importance of each building is learned through trial and error. I had to replay the first few levels just to get an understanding of what exactly each one did. Now, I like that function of trial and error, but for the average player, I think that if they cannot grasp what even the most simple buildings do, then they lose interest and base the entire game off it. That's how I think the other reviewers went about it: played the first 2 -3 missions, had to restart one-too-many times and gave up. But I digress.
Overall, I solidly enjoy this game and find a high replay value to it. The graphics are simple yet aesthetic; learning curve is gradual, and the missions are challenging, especially towards the end. I really love this RTS and would love to see more like it!

I didnt have issues figuring it out, although it does take a little bit of time (only latter i discovered that the main base is also a +8 power source)

and the tiny tiles very annoying when i hate to lay down the pipes
minor interface issues.

overall, kept me glued!
