Finally beat it. Not a horrible game. The point system is a little annoying though.
Also, I dont know how the ladder thing works but it seems very seldom that my armies ever battle online... I can never find a ladder match when I seek for it either. Then some times its every round I play that I fight some one.
I've read a book about the strategies of war. It's only now that I can actually use those strategies. Haha. Thank you for this game. Nothing quite makes my day as seeing the entire enemy's army being completely wiped out with a surprise fire attack lol.

This game is pretty incredible. It is strategically incredible deep and really rewards you, for thinking about your army. The social and PvP elements are well implemented and I can't help myself but to come back from time to time. 5/5 for me overall.
That being said, I will use the rest of the review to give some tips on this game.
Getting Gold:
You can of course buy Gold, and if you want to support the developer, you can absolutely do this. There are a few other ways to do it though: Winning a story mission gives you 200 gold, you can just repeat the first one with a strong frontline and get 200 gold pretty instantly. Losing gives you 100 gold. If you create an army with only 1 weak unit, this can be pretty fast too. The PvP on the Battlefield gives you gold, in dependence of the rank you fight in, so if you are pretty weak this might not be the fastest option. Although it is still ok.
THE high ranking strategy.
There is one strategy that is really often used in higher ranked matches (Although I only came to about rank 10, so I am not too sure beyond that)
For this strategy you will absolutely need the following:
1. 18 Orcs
2. A few Orc Leaders' Crowns (A rare Item that gives all Orcs in a squad more damage)
3. Some cheap ranged Weapons (Longbow, Shortbow, Musket)
Put the Orcs in one of your last squads, give them as many crowns as possible, and only use them with ranged weapons. You will get a full squad of fast shooters that can kill basically anything in 2-3 hits (Even those big Golems). The you can go nuts. Use some kind of cheap meat shield, so the enemys can't kill your orcs. Vermins, are suited pretty well, Imps are allright too. You can use Gordrakars Armor (Legendary) to buff your orcs even more. Throw in an Anti-Magic Field (Legendary), so you are protected against 90% of caster strategies. I hope this helps you, if you have some questions, you can pm me.
