Reviews for "Perdition"

Superb

I would love to give this game a higher rating, and would most likely do so if I could actually play it. The quality looks good and the story that I have gathered thus far is interesting, but the game play controls remind me of playing old NES games with a worn out controller. They sluggishly respond half the time and the rest of the time nothing happens at all. I will reiterate however that I love the appearance of the game and am interested in its plot line. From what I have read in different reviews of this game I am certain I would enjoy playing it if the controls were not so frustrating. I do not want to discourage you because this really does look like a good game. I would however suggest refining the game play controls a little bit, and maybe adding the ability to crouch down in future updates of this game. Other than that I think it has a great deal of potential

excelency.

I have to say this is one of the best games I've played ina very long time. The game isn't very long, maybe only 20 - 30 minutes however it more than makes up for it with its multiple endings and replay value which is mostly due to the decisions, you may or may not make, having consequential value. The graphics are good, giving you an old school gamer feel to it while the controls are very responsive, especially if you're using a program like JoyToKey. The music is solely in the background for ambiance and that's it, very minimalistic, which adds to the post apocalyptic feel of the game. Sounds effects are right where they need to be, swift and forefront, sounds for action and short burst background noises for emotional effect. All in all this game never made me feel like it was dragging me by the nose to earn my medals. It was thought provoking, gave you a reason to be defiant, to be obedient and to make your own choices. My only complaint is now I need a new game to play. Thank you very much for this.

All my stars here!

It's truly incredible how you've managed to give me such a...well, 'bond' with the pixelated android I'm controlling. The first playthrough I did with the music off, since I thought of this as one of those jumpscare kind of games. In hindsight, I think the menacing pace of the music and it's sometimes biblical portions followed by futuristic techno sections truly gave brownie points to this game.

The enviroment is amazing. You've seem to perfectly capture that 'futuristic post-apocalyptic scifi world' where everything is made out of metal and the sky is crimson. I've always been intriqued by the way moviemakers and writers portray a dark, hopelessly bleak future and you've certainly done a wonderful job.

The story chills me the more I thought about it, and making choices in my mind. Will I obey this deity in hopes that I will get released, will I rebel against my apparent master and join another unknown yet powerful force and recieve the means to defend me, or will I simply do as I please? Admitting, I kinda felt stupid when I apparently let myself get tricked into the 'fooled' ending. I already had the feeling some kind of religious matter was involved when I noticed the crosses and the concept of commiting sins in order to please another, which gave me even more shivers.

Overall, perfect game. Not even a slightly mediocre gameplay can snatch half a star from me away!
