Reviews for "Idle Sword"

I've been playing this game for far too long, lol. It's addicting! A lot the aspects of this game caught me off guard since I didn't expect a clicker game to ever be mashed into actual dungeon crawler. The game isn't just presenting you a new image for each stages as opposed to other so-clled clicker RPGS. You actually get to set yourself up for success and not worry about how fast you need to click to ever get anywhere.
The loot system and the combining system are both a lot of fun. I won't lie, I really dislike the fact that the game mashes unpronounceable names when combining. But every now and then I get a good laugh from the results. Resetting the game is also extremely rewarding and very helpful when you're trying to maximize your characters' statistics or even just have a player focus on one aspect. That last part is thanks to the looting and combination system.
In all it's glory there are a few things I sincerely don't like. The Death Lich has 100% Life Steal and sacrifices one of your characters in order to bring forth a bunch of minions. That's dandy. In 4 VS one scenario. However, it becomes nearly impossible to get past any room in Boss Rush mode if there are two Death Liches present. They'll wipe out your entire team by sacrificing them all in about 45 seconds (if they can hold up a good fight). Necro's ring only really helps for two players (revival every 15 seconds) until I run out of Ressurects. I then slowly get wiped out on the 2nd floor of Boss Rush because I have to wade thru an ocean of death piles, bones, corpses, more enemies just because the Death Lich won't stop being a bully.
The same sometimes happens in Draco's Lair where at the 5th or 6th floor you're completely overwhelmed by monsters that attack 6 to 9 times in a second. But it doesn't end there. The next floor is always exponentially more difficult. The next floor would present red dragons doing the same from two rooms away and then alerting the other 40 enemies on the same floor, totally wiping out your party. I often go back to headquarters with no rewards. Maybe a shield and an armor. They'll definitely give you more runes so they can keep mocking you.
Lastly, Draco's Lair really confuses me. This dungeon is exponentially more difficult than Dragon Nest. Why does that happen?
Anyways, I give this 4.5 stars. I know beating every single part of the game is mathematically possible. I know I complained and used some superlatives that exaggerate some aspects of the game. BUT THEM GOD DAMNED DEATH LICHES HAVE GOT TO STOP INSTA-KILLING EVERYTHING.

How do i save ??

Super fun game. Just wish it was longer!

The missing half star is in the missing information found on https://www.reddit.com/r/idlesword/

To the previous commenter, that sub-reddit includes a post indicating you must leave Idle Sword in a separate window for it to keep running, to which I'd add that it can be in the background, but not minimized, as the processing seems to be based on rendering. I was still able to hear the fights with the game minimized or in another non-rendered tab, but the amount of items and money I find when I check on it now that it has its own window always rendering in the background seems vastly different, which has me somewhat confused.

Hard to really call this an idle game since it pauses every time I change tabs in my browser.
