It's a good game but there are a few glaring issues that make it hard to recommend.
It's the same game I've completed before and it still has the same problem: an unnecessary level select screen. You respawn in the same spot, regardless of your progress. There's no numbers on the doors, so the only way to tell what door to go in is to walk up to it. (Fortunately, the order is fairly logical.) It's made even more pointless and frustrating once I found out there's no save system.
There's also a large difficulty jump in level 13. Until then, I never died. At level 13, I died about 25 times. Level 15 (14 batteries) is also annoying. You get 2/3 there only to mess up in the falling bit and having to start over again. Replaying it made me realise it's the tedium of waiting for the mushroom enemies that tips it over the edge for me.
Also, after I kill every monster in level 18, what am I supposed to do? There's no exit button or trophy or nothing.
*SPOILERS*
Is there any point to the left-most path in level 17? Or the hugely high ceiling in level 14?
