Reviews for "Calm HTF"

Lol, played this game a lot during my childhood, but didn't realize that the teleporter is a Henry Stickmin reference!

So uh, what's the color combination by the elevator, I'm stuck

SleepMastR responds:

See the letters on the sign where Cro-Marmot is.

i cannot launch Calm HTF because i installed newgrouds player and then its still not play. what should i do?

eyyyyy its fun

I had to kill a squirrel for commiting the felony of eating some chocolate.

Jokes aside, this game is not the best. You're given no clues how to figure out which character needs what, and also there's no reason for HTF to be here. Having a macabre show in a game where blood is absent is like having a WW2 FPS with Rainbow Guns, it doesn't fit at all.

One of the most frustrating points is figuring out what to do with the broom. Usually brooms are used to sweep dust and whatever filth is in a room, but in this game it's treated as a mop, which is very annoying.

Another complaint is the fact they speak. HTF is literally a show where you hear no audible words. The worst part about this issue is that Mime and Mole, characters who have never uttered a word, speak. He's called Mime for a reason.

All around, the only good points are the unique badges, but even then they can be annoying. I would never guess the door in the delivery room can only be opened from one side, since one of the characters even mentions that door is always locked.

Update: Yes, there are clues, however sometimes they're way too vague. Example: Teleporters can teleport through ice. This is easy to refer to cro-marmot, however I had no idea I had to add the cash to the basket.

I admit that I may have been a bit too harsh on the lack of blood. In that case, I would've expected an ounce of injury.

Finally, I will list the positives: the game's graphics stay true to the show, some badges are interesting (I especially liked the Sweet Ride badge, it was a nice reference) and it was a decent game if I disregarded the HTF theme. I change my review to a 2.5 stars instead.

SleepMastR responds:

There are clues in the text, and some from canonical HTF episodes (e.g., Lumpy should make the paper airplane because of his origami in "Home is Where the Hurt is"). This is supposed to be a game which relaxes from the usual point of the show; plus Nemao created many HTF episodes without blood.

I admit the broom should have been a mop. ^^' Remember, this game is from 2016 (I'm impressed you could even play it, since Flashes stopped running on the Internet yesterday), so it's a little too late for me to update it now.

Mime's text is in quote marks and doesn't have his face on the bar, which indicates that he didn't utter it, he just gestured it. I'm not sure why the Mole doesn't canonically speak, the important thing is that he's blind.
