Reviews for "Mega Museum"

I have no problem scrolling with my mouse. Just hold the left button down and slide the screen like you would with your finger. The game looks very interesting, but I find it hard to read a lot of text in it, and I'm not really sure what I'm doing.

JmPrsh153 responds:

Hey thanks for playing, we are trying to sort out our font as it seems the web version has slight problems but not sure why. as for knowing what to do in the game, the tutorial should have explained things clearly but the idea is you build your museum by exploring in different countries opening up rooms for that country to showcase what you have found. I appreciate you playing it though :)

Played for a bit yesterday and didn't think I'd come back but I have to admit that there's just something addicting about this. One possible problem, though, there was I believe a pop up that gives a free bar for rating the game, but I was able to spam the button and get over 100 of them. Now I'm up to exploring Spain thanks to that little "cheat".

JmPrsh153 responds:

haha hey yes we only recently found this bug, i believe the update version should have that fixed but im also going to be updating the game today and the version thats on newgrounds with a more balanced system :D

I see some potential, but it plays just like a "freemium" iphone game, by which I mean this is the exact same concept and frankly execution as NimbleBitLLC's "Disco Zoo." And just like with that game, the matching lost its appeal very quickly. You can only do that so many times before it feels tedious and fruitless. As a player, I don't really have a reason to care about expanding the "museum," particularly since each round of matching can only yield three predetermined artifacts, whether I need them to advance or not. Furthermore, the tiny screen is very hard to read, and the fullscreen option vanished after loading for me.

This could be a good grinder for mobile when you are waiting something and nibbling your phone and have little to do, but playing this on PC is not worth it, there are better grinders and a lot of non-grinders to choose from.

It has some addicting qualities, but are there any other minigames except for "Memory"? Doesn't really seem to be much you can really do and has fairly linear gameplay. (explore/play memory, gain artifacts/coins so you can work to unlock to explore/play memory some more.)

Can't really do much to the museum itself, thought it would be more like a sim building game. I do like the fact that the artifacts can be maxed out and sold for gold, helped break even and eventually accumulate enough gold (via orbs/gold per minute) to break out of China.

Overall, just can't see much incentive to keep playing, would be nice if there was another aspect to work on (building "Sim/Tycoon games", alternative mini-games similar to "Dr. Brain series", customization, ect). The music is nice and fits quite well overall, rather enjoyed it.
