A minor problem

I don't know if it is just me or what, but for some reason when I died, the guy just kept shooting where I was, and the shot disappeared like it hit me, but I was invisible (and dead) and it wouldn't restart for the next life. Other than that, this is freakin' awesome!! I don't think you could have done any better in making it look like the real game. Excellent work!!

It's all right....

Dang, when you move through the enviromnent as well as hit an enemy there is quite a delay. This submission is pretty good but that delay is its major fault. Even though you can change the controls yourself, make the controls easier to manage next time.

Andrew-Traviss responds:

If you turn off the background, the lag should reduce significantly. If your computer doesn't measure up, it will lag, yes. The game was designed with an 800MHz machine in mind (still lags a bit on that, I admit)

As for the controls, the reason they seem a little weird is the lag. I have played the game at full speed, and the controls are identical to the SNES controls in terms of repsonsiveness and such. (it's awesome if you use a Game Pad with this thing)

I'm aware of the performance problems this suffers, please check out the sequel that is in the works on my site to see what progress I've made on that.

hey, very cool, game

cool game, i love the original megaman games this had the feel of one of capcoms games. good work.

Like it

The game was great and well designed. My only concern is that I believe there is a bug at the Bass fight. I died but he continued to attack until eventully the screen came up and said that I had won. The game is worth playing though and I don't think the bug will show up often but I will test it and see.

Andrew-Traviss responds:

Thanks man, but I'm not fixing anything else on this one, because the whole thing needs an overhaul. It would be more helpful if you would visit my website and help debug Project X2 as I develop it :)

Cool

The controls were a bit difficult for me to get used to, but this is a pretty good game.

Andrew-Traviss responds:

The controls can be reconfigured to suit your tastes, in the Options menu :)
