Nothing makes me more frustrated than a game that seems interesting that is unplayable.
1: Make it so I can use the mouse
2: Test the game on someone without telling them how to play. Watch silently as they are unable to figure basic stuff out
3: Make a tutorial that fixes all those things, then go back to point 2. Repeat as necessary until you can confidently expect players to "get it"
For example, after a couple attempts I figured out what I was supposed to do, but now I can't get any picmen to get onto the ship, making the game completely unplayable for on day 2. I saw that I could supposedly load them into the ship, but it didn't work.
As someone who makes stuff in my spare time, I appreciate the effort, but this the controls are a clunk-fest, the lack of intuitive design is annoying, and the unforgiving "you lose your picmen if you stand in the circle like the gui tells you to" is just gamebreaking.
