The survival elements are there, but the map is extremely small and the soldiers are able to see you from off screen making it extremely likely you get caught even if you cover your tracks and stay behind corners.

Yeah, I agree that I may have made the soldiers sightlines too long :)
As far as the map being too small goes, I probably should have made it large enough so you only run into one soldier at a time.
I like it but you should add some story behind it in the game. It is a perfect amount of toughness.
