Just a college assignment, figured I'd throw it up. Its supposed to be Anne marie from 'All Dogs go to Heaven' doesn't look a lot like her tho. Modeled in 3DS Max

looks like all the same texture which makes her look plastic, is that what you were going for?

this is what came to mind:

Creepy casper face

Odd, but not really one to talk.

It was pretty difficult to get that character to look right in 3D without falling into the 'Uncanny Valley'. Probably because she wasn't even designed for it in the first place. Mine looked just as freaky.
Still, looks good overall.

adamkav responds:

I suppose I should of made her look like a creepy old lady like you did mark haha

Not bad

i recognized her right away, but I didn't like that movie, so you only get a 8.

Uncanny Valley

You should look up "Uncanny Valley" on Google. Briefly, the face needs to be more realistic or more cartoonish, because in its current state it looks frankly creepy. It's also obvious in places that this has few polygons, and the "smoothing" around the low-poly objects looks awkward (like on her bangs, or her hairbow). This is a good first draft, so to speak, but it does need work in the details.

adamkav responds:

haha I know the uncanny valley well, your right too, she has fallen in there. I messed up her hair with soft selection and couldn't get it back, might just remodel the hair altogether.
