For a 30min sketch, that's great! Also limiting yourself with time is a great thing. Although i don't do it on a tablet (beacuse I'm awfull at it), but with traditional tools. All in allI like everything, but I think the horse legs are a bit too thin. But I really love the subtle background. Has a lot of depth, together with those statues. Great job!

A 30 minutes speedpaint of a snowy forest.
Lately I have been doing more and more of these, trying to limit myself. Though it feels really awkward at first, I like the challenge of figuring out the basic composition / subject matter / lighting in a very short time.
Most of the time, I won't risk to upload the results (a lot of them are just bad).
More than anything, speedpaints (speedsketches) demonstrate the work flow and the process I fallow, when painting an image. I am really interested in your thoughts. How do you go about drawing something? Do you use line or do you start with values? Do you have an clear idea in mind or do you prefer to let the chaos reign? I am eager to learn.
