So the character and her purple familiar are the obvious focal points of this piece, but I want to talk about something else, here. I actually really appreciate the bend in the wall they're sitting on! There's something about the depth of it that really helps this picture. It would have been so easy to just make a straight wall going across the page, but I feel like this shot wouldn't look nearly as interesting if that had been the case. The bend gives the scene a sense of scale and depth, and it just conveys that what we're looking at isn't as simple as a straight path!
I don't know why! I just really loved that detail and wanted to call it out!
