This piece was inspired by a story a friend of mine wrote. I did it on aluminum foil, thinking that it'll create a colder and monotonous look. Although it's a simple art piece, I challenged myself because I wasn't able to erase, as you can see.
His feet were tired and desperately needed rest, as did his mind which hadn't stopped racing ever since he found himself in his shattered city. Even with the sun shining again it felt darker than ever before, every single step he took creating an echo that only heightened his feeling of loneliness. He didn't even notice his eyes falling shut. Maybe it felt like dying a second time. Maybe he wasn't truly dead until now and maybe he held on too tight, gripped these illusions of what once was too firmly to ever be able to really let go.
