OMSi (Overarching Mechanical Sentient Intelligence) man on the beach, worldbuilding below
Beaches on Hyde, especially around the tourist destination Puffin's Peak, are cloudy and typically foggy, typical for Hyde. Their waters are cold, almost year round, and could be described as "apt miserable" by the organic locals. Their sands are black and grey, from volcanic rock.
However, two things save these beaches from being unoccupied. Puffin's Peak and the surrounding area is an epicenter for geothermal activity, and there are many hot baths close to the ocean. The cold ocean waters and the hot mineral baths are incorporated into bathhouses on the coast. Also, OMSi, which make up a sizable population of the Puffin Peak area due to their expertise in geothermal power generation and fishing, can easily withstand the temperature of the waters due to their living robotic nature, and if anything, find them quite relaxing. OMSi from around the GAP visit Puffin's Peak for pretty, cold water beaches, combined with an area of rich history, a galacticly known automotive racetrack, and connections to their home planet in the form of a Robotown in Puffin's Peak.
