A persistent sound-based computer virus that broke out into the real world, infecting people that hear it. To keep the noise from going in one ear and out the other, victims of the hivemind will be sealed into insulating suits.
They seem like quite the rowdy and noisy bunch. I do like that you still gave them slight differences like in the eye shape, hands, antenna size, etc.. Very sweet take on the hivemind character design!

Yee, as much as I like seeing characters fall in line as a unified whole; my inner character designer craves variety! hehe
And you could consider them united in the idea of self-expression within their aesthetic.
