"They call us Angels and Demons today but tomorrow they will call us something else" - Aiwass/Lam (The demon Aleister Crowley channeled in 1904)
From April 8th to April 10th of 1904, the occultist, Aleister Crowley, allegedly channeled a being named Aiwass. This being claimed to be an angel and demanded that Crowley write down everything it told him. The end product of which became the tomb named "The Book of the Law". The book is filled with spells, philosophy and discourses between the two. Through Aiwass' teachings, it states that humanity would enter a new age, the Æon of Horus, in which Christianity is overthrown and take control of their own destiny as they see fit. To achieve said actions was put into write with one commandment.
"Do what thou wilt; every man and woman is a star; the word of sin is restriction".
From the words of Aiwass, Crowley would return to London and create a new religion called Thelema. In modern times, Aiwass is commonly compared to the popular depictions of aliens and many speculate that Aiwass was an alien.
But what was Aiwass?
The being known as Aiwass comes from another perception of reality. Aiwass comes from Astral Reality, which is very difficult for the human mind to unlock. The biology of beings from other realities is very poorly understood. Since the human mind needs certain substances and stimuli to perceive other realities, it has madevit difficult to learn how they work. It is known that they are always there but can't interact with physical reality. More research is needed to learn how the beings of these other realities function.
Aiwass is a large cephalopod-like being from Astral Reality. It has numerous tentacles it uses to manipulate its surroundings and other beings. The largest glowing orb in its center seems to be a sort of heart. It uses its smaller black tentacles to manipulate and telepathically communicate with other beings. A common part of beings from higher realities, are the addition of symbols and sigils. What role these play in their biology is currently unknown.
