Twas the night AFTER christmas

Share

I used to watch 'Twas the night before christmas (1994)' a lot around christmas time.
It's definitely not a very popular movie (I could only find the dutch version on youtube), so I decided to draw a character from that movie.
Here's a link to the movie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7W9MI7sh90M

ABOUT THE VILLAIN
The character you see, is the main villain from the movie. He owns a toy factory.
When he finds out that a young homeless boy(he's a worker at the factory) passes the night at his factory, he gets furious and throws him on the streets again.
Later he also finds out that this boy 'steals' toys from his factory and gives it to orphans that aren't allowed to keep toys. So he sets a trap in his factory, but he fails to catch him, instead he was caught in his own trap.

BEHIND THE ARTWORK
This artwork is my 'vision' of how the story continues. The villain takes revenge by creating voodoo dolls. :D

I like how you used the lighting in the image. The room gives off an eerie feeling. I do however think that the colorful illustration on the screen could have had a bit more detail. Because you put so much detail in the dark room.

Great work overall though

BaukjeSpirit responds:

You mean the figures on the screen or the empty space around them? I was aiming at a screen with simplistic graphics, but I can see what you mean, the style kinda differs from the rest of the picture.
Thanks for the feedback :)
