This is pretty much me trying digital coloring for the first time (not long after simply drawing for the first time >_>). The results are what you see here!

I did become aware of a few mistakes I made along the way...namely not enlarging the painted areas to make up for the small blank spaces between the lineart and the color. I actually would have done this, though I made the lines too thin, meaning they would have disappeared if I enlarged colors on both sides! I plan to keep this lesson in mind on my next attempt.

There are also several mistakes with the body itself, but I think I mentioned those in my submission of the pencil drawing. I've made a few more sketches since then, and have improved.

I was thinking about trying a background, but I'm taking things one step at a time. Plus I don't really feel that character studies warrent a background...most of the time. The next thing I may try next is some gradient coloring...we'll see!
