Clancy and Ross were once best friends until Ross found new friends, Robert and Roy, who took up all of his time. As a result, Ross stopped hanging out with Clancy, leaving him feeling left out and hurt. Clancy tried to reach out to Ross, but Ross was distant and cold towards him, which hurt Clancy's feelings a lot. In response, Clancy slowly began to dislike Ross and even became a bully towards him, albeit not physically. It's unclear whether Ross realized how he hurt Clancy's feelings and tried to make amends or if he remained distant from Clancy despite knowing how he felt.
