Having only appeared months after the Dawn of Hell, Corpsekeepers are the remains of a now extinct species of mutant humans piloted by a parasitical hell creature [see documents d.072A and m.024]. Using its root-like limbs, it attempts to reconstruct the original shape of its corpse, with an often boorish result due to the parasite’s jagged movements tearing the flesh of the corpse, the rotting of the corpse itself, and the possibility of limbs missing from the corpse before it would begin hosting its parasite.
The parasite, while often stubborn to copy the movements of other, similar mutant species, will often diverge from its corpse’s capabilities in several ways, such as using its elongated limbs to reach far-off targets and destinations. However, it will also tend ro recreate its corpse’s former abilities, such as creating balls of flesh kept stuck together with bile to throw at lethal velocities, mirroring that of the Infector’s.
Though the two share several similarities, there has not been any documented incidents of Clings imitating the movements of their host after death while wearing their remains. However, considering the fact that Clings can be tamed, it could be possible for one to grow so close to their host that they attempt to carry on their actions, attempting to appear as them.
