(Unfinished) Sarah.gif

Share

This is simply a unfinished gif I made but too lazy to finish. It’s set to 30 frames per second and illustrated using Procreate on my iPad. The girl is my own creation named Sarah. At first, I called her Ebony, but as I continued to work on her my thoughts turned to a classmate I knew since elementary school. I never spoke to her or anything, and honestly…I doubt she even remembers me. But still. For some reason, this drawing I made, made me think of her. So I decided to name the girl after her (the one from my school).

I hope that’s okay….

Maybe I was unconsciously thinking of her when I drew this girl. (?)

Anyway… Sarah’s story is that she’s a young detective on a mission to find a lost dog. But discovers a bigger surprise than she anticipated. What’s the big surprise you might ask? Well… maybe I tell you about it later. :P

Why’d I made this .gif? Well I wanted to try my hand at animation and wanted to use Sarah as a test dummy of sorts. I wanted her to move naturally but still stand in one spot. Like someone getting their picture taken before the shot. It’s not long but I felt it satisfied my needs well enough. It’s still looks rough and is uncolored, but looking at it now reminds me of those rough draft animations you see in the “behind-the-scenes” bonus features on movie disc and YouTube. So I decided to post it as is anyway.

Enjoy.
