im kinda considering on changing gaja's lore, but im not fully on board with it yet, but basically she was born into a massive cult that's responsible for all the weird shit happening in her world, but as she's born into it, she sees it as normal and never comes to the realization that she's in a cult. it operates in many countries around the globe, but gaja specifically is in its settlement in poland.

i dont really know how to expand on the cult itself without dragging this post on too long, but the general gist is that it started around the late 1700s to early 1800s, maybe even further back, as a foundation for experiments on achieving what would be regarded as generally impossible, or even unorthodox, in the scientific community but eventually it went beyond science and into the field of the occult and essentially combined those two fields in becoming what its characterized as today by its members. i have more ocs with ties to this cult, but this is,, basically its background
