I was born the year FEAR came out and I'm a legal adult now so I guess it probably counts as retro enough. Great art.
I hadn't thought about the F.E.A.R. games in a long time, but when Civvie did a video about the first one it reminded me that the first game is one of my all-time favorite FPSes, a real diamond in the 2000s rough. So here's me drawing its mysterious mute protagonist, known to this day only as the Point Man. He is armed of course with the game's shotgun, referred to as the "VK-12" since writing around gun copyrights is a thing. Definitely one of the better shotguns in the genre. I wasn't sure about the lines in this piece for a bit, but it started to come together when I was doing the color flats.
I used this particular ref for this pic, the account likes to be credited for such: https://www.deviantart.com/phelandavion/art/Sniper-STOCK-XX-597403160
I wonder if F.E.A.R. is old enough to count as a retro game?

Yeah the current cutoff for what I make part of my "Retro PC games" series is 1999. Might have to adjust that at some point considering stuff like Supreme Commander is now coming up on 20 years old.
