Originally just made of shadows, he slowly evolved into having eyes and mouth to communicate even though Nephil did this more with emotions than speech. With the help of Rin, Nephil was able to form a more physical body. Nephil likes chaos and tries to help protect Rin as thanks for the help. Rin was able to create a special lantern with the help of a friend to help Nephil from going completely insane.
