28th illustration of the year.
Fanart painting of Akira Kurosawa's 1985 classic, Ran. Very flawed piece, not particularly happy with how it appears on the canvas or in any photos no matter how much I edit them. My painting skills leave a lot to be desired as it is, and it aggravates me further when the THREE cameras I own all take shitty-ass photos of them, so details are lost no matter which way I fucking slice it. It really pisses me off.
But anyway, here it is. A piece dedicated to the master himself; one that I had a lot more fun making than trying to put into this goddamn computer with the tools I have available. Done almost entirely with acrylic paints (and also a little micron pen for the details of Tatsuya Nakadai's face).
