WOO, what a doozy.. I really tried when replicating the style of the manga (more specifically the manga covers) of Ginga Densetsu Weed, I even made an entire style guide just to get the characters right - so I hope you all enjoy it :)

Since Gomen is essentially Weed 2.0 (if you pardon the wording), I thought it’d be fun to do a hypothetical poster/manga cover for an issue of a Gomen manga. This is why he’s front and centre of the piece - because he’s likely recruited all of these doggies the same way Weed and Gin have done! (This is also why lore might not be followed - its just a one off hypothetical, and I didn’t want to include tons of characters belonging to the same two people lol)

 Varg, I’d imagine, would be the Ben/Jerome character, being older and wiser and giving the main protagonist advice; Moby Dick, due to his tough past, would probably be the more irrational one who butts heads with Gomen; Zoros is the tough, seasoned warrior of the group with incredible power that rivals even that of Gomen - however, this grand status has drawn the attention of the hyperactive Shiokutora, who tags along babbling Zoros’ ears off bragging about how he’s going to train her into a great fighter (even though he hasn’t said anything about it); Toorop is probably the most strong - and potentially dangerous - fighter in Gomen’s troupe, fuelled by his hatred for humans and desire to see them violently mutilated - massively contrasting with his leader Gomen, who tries time and time again to calm Toorop down, believing violence isn’t the only answer; Valravn, I’d imagine, would be the most naive of the group, as in not knowing what he’s in for and just tagging along to kick some dog butt for a laugh - much to the annoyance of his older, more mature comrades; then there’s Aurinko, a dog from Lapland with a cheery outlook on the world and graceful leaping skills - the other dogs discriminate against her slightly, thanks to both her perspectives and status as an “outsider”, all except for the kindhearted Gomen, who looks past all these seemingly alienating qualities for the good dog/fighter she is.

 Due to the lack of info/inaccessability (remember, some of these were hidden whilst drawing this) I don’t know too much about Shinju, Thundertail, Doberman, Sachiko Togatta or Ivory to make accurate-ish assumptions on what kind of characters/roles they’d play in the hypothetical manga.. But I hope you guys enjoy this piece and don’t mind the hypothetical scenarios I wrote for (most) everyone! It was fun to draw, if a bit of a pain in the ass, and I’m very proud of it.
