Vaporidash (Vaporeon + Rapidash pokemashup)

Share

This is my entry for he pokemashup challenge. Ive decided to go with Rapidash and Vaporion because i thought it would be different to combine a water pokemon wiht a fire pokemon. i also wanted to create kind of a hippocampus type pokemon. the over all color of the pokemon is a cream color like rapidash and it has front hooves like the pokemon where its back legs are like that of vaporion. I left the flames blue so you could tell they are still fire but has an aqua kinda feel to it and it worked well with my color scheme of the over all pokemon.. i left the side fins on vaporion's head but gave it red eyes and the horn like rapidash. instead of the gills around its neck i gave it a fire collar instead to incorporate both pokemon. i added the second one to show how to tail is in the shape of vaporions tail but are actually flames. and the one with the tail in the water i attempted steam... there are also sparks coming off of them and rising up into the night sky.

the entire peice was made with GIMP as its the only program i have. and im still learning affects...like glow and mist as well as shading.

i know it doesnt look like much but this piece took me a total of 10 hours to complete
