A little illustration I did for a school project! Based on a character I made 1 year ago, I redrew and (finally) coloured them for this school activity after just drawing their designs in a sketch.
Their name is Poichus, a Filipino god of Innovation/Creativity. The character and design are based on the old gods/goddesses that we Filipinos used to have with a few modern twists here and there.
"Poichus is an outgoing, optimistic, resilient, and slightly mischievous god who has many things they have still yet to learn. Like us Filipinos, failures or setbacks won’t prevent them from trying until they succeed. They like crafting things from anything and helping any (non-threatening) human they encounter. They live in a quiet and hidden village within the forest near Mt. Makiling and is well known within it. They also help defend the general area from anyone with ulterior motives."
Here are the sketches I had from a year ago! (Please note that I was still figuring out my artstyle so these might not look as good as the final rendered drawing made 1 year after.
