My attempt at recreating a scene from Joyeux Noel, the 2005 film about the 1914 christmas truce. Possibly the most emotional Christmas Film I have ever seen in my life. This was the scene that made me tear up. Did a man from the german trenches really emerge singing "come all ye faithful" carrying a christmas tree? I don't know. I do know that for one fleeting moment in a war that only grew worse and worse, there was a moment of peace and humanity.


Merry Christmas everyone. Go see Joyeux Noel, or read up on the 1914 Christmas Truce. If you don't believe in christmas miracles, you will afterward.
