I do appreciate the effort of becoming druids even though they're secretly still just pyromaniac dragons.
Wildfire Dragons are a variety of Disaster Dragon, a group of dragons hailed as forces of nature, with powers over natural disasters that enable them to act as catalysts to cataclysmic events, treated with fear and awe by those around them. Wildfire Dragons constantly produce a volatile compound in their body that is both highly flammable and acts as a desiccant, which is vented out of slits in their hides, or expelled in their breath, leaving these dragons near-constantly surrounded in a shimmering haze of accelerant, which, with a crack of their tail, they can spark to ignite, robing themselves and their surroundings in searing flames. Able to teleport themselves from one source of flame to the next, Wildfire Dragons often set forests ablaze to hunt, warping through the inferno to catch fleeing wildlife and trappers alike. As with all Disaster Dragons, they possess two breath weapons. Their first, a lingering toxic cloud of moisture-draining combustible gas, and their second, a salvo of explosive globs of their accelerant fluid that detonate on contact with the ground.
Wildfire Dragons have the simplest motivations of any of their ilk, having near animalistic drive and behaving mainly on instinct. As forces of nature, most Disaster Dragons, including these, are chaotic in nature, though Wildfire Dragons are not aligned towards evil ends. Wildfire Dragons are often tended to by Druids when they first hatch, who recognize the importance of fire in forested ecosystems, in the hopes that by tending to the dragon's needs and working with it, they may teach it to use its incendiary powers more responsibly, to help the wooded regions they most often inhabit flourish. Some Elder Wildfire Dragons go on to become druids themselves, having obtained a deep respect for nature, though they can never fully overcome their basic instincts, and deep down, still relish watching things burn.
I do appreciate the effort of becoming druids even though they're secretly still just pyromaniac dragons.
It's just a matter of raising them right.
Love the description and design for this one,I can easily picture it teleporting through a fiery forest after a terrified deer or other animal. Great job!
