I though I draw this in preparation for the Closing Ceremony for Paris 2024, when The Paralympic Flame gets extinguished, The last of the athletes get their medals, and the Torch is passed from France's Beautiful Capital, Paris to America's most congested city, Los Angeles, as the United States will host the 2028 Summer Paralympics in Tinsel Town (again, no relation to the LittleBigPlanet level). 

For those wonder why are they amputated, the Paralympics is basically the Olympics for the disabled. It includes sports made to accomodate, the blind, wheelchair bound, amputees, and the intellectually disabled. The Paralympics originated from the Stoke Mandeville games which is a yearly multi-sport competition for the wheelchair bound that is still occurs to the day. The event was held in Stoke Mandeville, England, and it was originally a local thing, until a Dutch wheelchair team showed up and made it an international thing in the 1950's. Eventually some unsung hero thought, "let's have our games in Rome on the same year as the Olympics and included as many countries as we can," and so the 9th Annual International Stoke Mandeville Games took place in Rome, Italy 1960. And the event is now retroactively known as the First Paralympic Games. 

The Paralympics are typically held a month after the Olympics, and because they don't have as many sports in the Paralympics, the time between opening and closing ceremonies are shorter than the olympics, basically making the Paralympics almost like DLC as the host city for the Olympics alos have to do the Paralympics.
