And You Thought Whales Were Big?

This is my interpretation of 'Under the Surface'. I used watercolour paints and pencils to illustrate what we know of our oceans and what could quite possible be dwelling beyond. We, as humans, have only discovered less than 5% of our oceans, so who's to say terrifying creatures such as this one aren't waiting to be discovered?
Thanks Jazza, Ffion :)

This is my work in progress picture (sorry it's a bit blurry, it was taken on my phone): http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=24l7kmx&s=9#.WhJjDkqWaUk (the page the link sends you to may need to be refreshed a few times for the picture to actually show up, sorry for making it difficult)

Man! This is awesome! What's the medium you painted this on? What're the structures in the bottom? It gives it really nic 3D effect

FfionCaines responds:

Thank you, I really appreciate it! I painted this with watercolour paints and Derwent watercolour pencils on watercolour paper (that’s a lot of watercolour). I decided to experiment with some different things like salt like a lot of people do with watercolour. Those brown specks are coffee, I initially intended for them just to leave some brown marks after wiping them off, but they ended up soaking into the paper which gave an effect that I actually preferred, so for once I was actually happy I screwed up XD
