Thyreophorans of Skull Island

Share

-THYREOPHORANS OF SKULL ISLAND-

Four species of Thyreophorans live on Skull Island, two Stegosaurs, an Ankylosaur, and a basal thyreophoran related to Jakapil

Here we will go over each one of them

-PUGIODORSUS-

With an average height of 4 meters(13 feet) it might seem odd to hear that Pugiodorsus is actually one of the smaller dinosaurs on the island, but that is indeed the case.

the animal is very important to the people of skull island, who use it as both mounts, pets and livestock

-ATERCURISAURUS-

This Stegosaur species is sexually dimorphic, with bigger purple males who live in the depth of the jungle and smaller green females who live in the grasslands, the males will then migrate to the grasslands during the spring where they will fight eachother to attract mates

-CALCARISAURUS-

A solitary Ankylosaur, they often dig holes in the ground as they forage for food, using their smell to search of seeds and nuts deep in the dirt and litter, many of these holes are often used by other animals as nests, making them a keystone species on the island

-ASPERDORSUS-

The biggest stegosaur that has ever lived, Asperdorsus has converged on a sauropod-esk bodyplan, filling a similar niche of Brontodominus outside of the swamps they rule in.

Young ones still have a thagomizer, but as they grow it shrinks down as less predators go after them.
