Hazral Vangeli is the Archbishop of the Church of Yalbdalaoth and the father of Valkor Vangeli. He leads the Church in the war against the Thalnyaric Legion, which has seemingly made his son their leader.

According to Yalbdalite scripture, Hazral and many other high-ranking bishops must wear masks and not show even an inch of their skin in public ever again after having gazed upon Yalbdalaoth. However, those with a disposition against the Church suspect that Hazral made this commandment up as a way to hide a really dark secret. Some even go as far to say that he is the real creator of the Thalnyaric Legion - better known as the Forceless Collective outside Muriga - having used a forbidden ritual to forge an enemy for his cult to fight and justify the Church's iron-fisted rule, and propped his own son up as a villain after he refused to follow the Vangeli family's extreme views.
