General BBS has been locked. Probably forever. But even if General returns, this thread is gone for good. Back in the day, I loved to highjack threads and careen them off the rails with little webcomics. It was always my dream to make a graphic novel someday, so I leapt on the opportunity here on some dude's thread waaay back in 2013.

Because it was ridiculous, there was a guy named "Saen" making a thread where he asks "What do you enjoy on your Sundae?" and it was clearly just an excuse for him to post a picture of his shirtless chest, holding a bowl of ice cream.

The first post in a General thread always seems to kick off the mood, and people were immediately drawn to the lightsource off to the side that seemed to cast a super loonnnng shadow on his furthest nipple. So I dogpiled onto the joke with this illustration.

It got a lot of laughs, so my ADD-ass was like "Hoho okay, I'll keep going."

Decided to turn the nipples into "tentacle eyes" so that his bellybutton would become a mouth.

I was watching a ton of G1 Transformers at the time, so decided to incorporate a "Space Bridge". I wanted to get this character into space as fast as possible so it could go off the rails as fast as possible.

Figured I needed this character to interact with somebody else. And I hadn't done anything with Dick Neck since writing out a sequel to Dick Neck Origins, so I figured out wrangle him into this for General BBS's sake.

At this point my brain started derailing on an intricate plot for these two, and MS Paint wasn't going to cut it anymore, so I started using Photoshop.

Finally gave the tentacled thing a name, give Saen some personality of his own, plant a seed for romance / mutual motivation, and here we go, we're off to the races.

I had never drawn a Transformer before, so I found an opportunity here. I love the Seekers, Starscream is cool and all, but I love Thundercracker and Skywarp just a little bit more. And here's the biggest place where I kinda fucked up, by incorporating copyright protected, old-80's ass Hasbro characters, because I feel like that ultimately stunted where this story could go, how it could go, if I wanted to really do MORE with this series, so...it needed to happen. It was an important lesson to learn, I got to practice with mech illustrations, it wasn't all bad.

Steady as she goes, indeed. I was cackling the entire time I was making and posting these.

I knew I was just making more and more work for myself if I kept animating every panel, so I gave myself a breather with this action shot.

Because Transformers say "scrap" instead of "SHIT!" ...or "FUCK" ...or "BALLS!"
