About a month and a half ago I played and beat The Last Of Us Part 2. I had a lot of the game spoiled for me, due to people seeing some gay people and a strong woman and losing their shit and being bigoted. Finding legitimate criticism for the game was and still is hard to come by. I loved the first game which I played last year, so I really built up the courage to play this one. Generally I’d say I really like TLOU2. The gameplay is greatly improved, the game is visually stunning and the performances are outstanding. I loved the first half of the game, I already really liked Ellie. Her and Dina had a nice dynamic and I liked their relationship. At first I didn’t like the second half, but over time I was more endeared to Abby. Especially her and Lev’s older sister / younger brother dynamic. The thing I really hated was the ending. It felt like Ellie was the victim and lost everything in her quest for revenge, which makes sense, that’s the point of the story. Abby also lost everything after she got her revenge, but with Lev she was given the chance to grow and seek redemption. Ellie didn’t. It does make me hope there is a third TLOU, because I want to see Ellie be redeemed. Again, to be clear… I like Abby, I like Lev, I love so many of the things this game did when it came to the story, but I really hated how it ended. I felt empty in a bad way. So yeah… if you have no legit criticism for the game and just want to whine about it being “woke” kindly fuck off. Otherwise, I hope you enjoy and stay safe. Bye!

TL;DR: I have mixed feelings about TLOU2, but if you’re just a bigot and not engaging with the media in good faith, shut up and fuck off.
