Ah this takes me back (and reminds me how old I am) Halo was THE game my school friends and I all played together on Xbox back in the day.

Was my favorite game at the time while I waited for Halo: Reach to come out. When HR came out though, I never actually got to play it. ODST remained one of my fondest memories on Xbox 360 going through infinite hordes and multiplayer. Halo Reach was much better when I did play it though, but that came so much later on PC, and I had the misfortune of finishing and hating Halo 4 to death until I just gave up on gaming entirely and never got another console since then. Bungie dropped the ball hard on Halo. It's quite sad, really how a great game got treated so carelessly. Most games are just cash grabs now, there's not really much soul left in games after most of them turned into tabloid microstores.
Thanks for the comment, I appreciate you taking the time to type all of this. True, the cool bungie died the second they were done with Reach tbh, no faith in their upcoming Marathon reboot either lmao.
Also, honestly I still believe there's plenty of video games still being made with soul today, but it's pretty much all in the indie scene with a few rare outliers. It's kind of crazy how monumental Halo was to the industry back in its prime, so many hours of work and care not just on the games themselves, but also spent on insane marketing: each game release was a major event. I can't say any of the 343i titles have really hit the same mark, even if I like some aspects of them.
