Gengar [Reanimated Crystal Sprite]

Share

Tried to do the same thing i did with the bulbasaur sprite to this as well. Though with bulbasaure i think i tried to keep as many of the original frames as possible, this time i just used the first, and tried to keep the tone/ action similar enough to recognize it.

I try to keep as much of the original idea, which to me was that grin/glare and the bottom phasing out

Im not super happy with it, but i like the look with the stomp

Fitting...kind of... for 2019. this is probably the most youre getting out of me for the season though unfortunately.

Dude! The animation is so cool! Great job on this!

This is really cool. Minimalism at its finest, just like the old games. Love the dust/splash effect and how his grin plays as he stomps down. Solid work.

this by far the best gengar sprite iteration, the animation you added gives it a lot more spirit to the original. I love this sprite, good job. II'll never get why they made gengar look less scary as they went on.

gatekid3 responds:

thank you. and yeah, definitely him at his scariest

This looks amazing for how low bit it is and how little colors were used. Love it!

gatekid3 responds:

ive seen people do amaing things with 1 bit art

Sweet, great expression.

gatekid3 responds:

Thats the expression of the original sprite, all i did was exaggerate the squint
