Share

Gyao was the 31rst Haniwa Phantom which served as the Monster of the week in Ep.28 of the Kotetsu Jeeg Anime; The Dragon Phantom had an oval body shape with a Red and green color scheme; had bat like wings, a blue color bird head with a yellow beak, adorn with a light yellow curved horn on the forehead, with a long gray color neck, with port holes on the sides and a long lizard tail ending with two spikes in the end; Posses blue and yellow legs ending in talons for feet, and had a long yellow and green saw like dorsal fins that ran from the back of the neck to the tail. Besides flight and sharp talons, Gyao could fire missiles from the mouth and laser beams that are fired from the port holes in the neck and a beam from its eyes that could distort reality around its targets. The episode marked the introduction of the Panzeroid module, as well was the first and last time Queen Himika herself went to the Battlefield to face Hiroshi directly.

Knowing that Hiroshi possess the Bell itself, Himika instructs to take the offensive before he does and orders Ikima to attack with a Phantom capable to distort reality around him; meanwhile, Hiroshi, concluding that Himika will not stop her attacks until she gets the Bell, decides to strike first, much against the advise of his Father and Dr. Dairi, and takes off with Michi on the Big Shooter to the area where the Bell was first excavated. Seeing the enemy approaching, Ikima calls for Gyao to attack.

The Shooter arrives over a city where the Phantom awaits and unleashes its distortion beam onto the heroes; they crash, getting stuck in between buildings. After putting out a fire, Hiroshi looks at the wobbling distortion outside and investigates first hand, where he encounters Himika herself, been far bigger than he is; Himika uses her powers to stunt Hiroshi's transformation, forcing the hero to call up to Michi, who tries to call for assistance but is unable to. As Hiroshi deals with Himika, with difficult due to the distortion, in the lab, the test on the new weapon (the Panzeroid) were completed when they finally get a call from Michi. Seeing their situation, the Panzeroid is launch to assist: it arrives on time and fires a beam onto Gyao, forcing it to end the distortion, returning the scenery back to normal. Hiroshi transforms, but Himika proves to be superior to him and calls for Michi for the Jeeg parts, but Gyao intervenes, trying to stop her and under Himika's command tries to crash the Shooter onto Hiroshi, but is repelled by Michi, who then fires at Gyao crashing onto the city, hitting Himika on the way down.

Hiroshi takes the chance and transforms into Steel Jeeg, and then assembles with Panzeroid, becoming a Centaur combinations and attacks Himika, who is then taken away by Ikima and orders Gyao to fight Jeeg.

In their fight, Jeeg attacks with Spin Storm, then uses Panzeroid Missiles to poke holes on its wings, the Phantom crashes, though gets back up and uses missiles and finally a multi-color beam that stuns Jeeg; the Mecha separates from Panzeroid before crashing, with a Lance in hand (DON'T KNOW WHERE THE LANCE CAME FROM, is just appears in its hand all the sudden) and throws it at Gyao, piercing its torso. The Monsters crashes into a volcano crater where it explodes on impact.

Despite having gotten away, Hiroshi knows Himika will strike again and flies back to base.
