Greed is a section of Inferno focused entirely on profit and economic domination. In order to make due on goals in terms of both finances and human torment, many within the Greed's deserts rise up to the mortal world and worm their way into various institutions such as banks or large corporations in order to kill two birds with one stone.

One particularly interesting venture the higher ups of Greed partake in is the business of war profiteering. Warfare produces large amounts of money and suffering in the greatest of heights, so many demons of Greed take on the role of establishing themselves as dealers of infernal weapons or as private military contractors, sometimes even acting as mercenaries on the field themselves. Often, the wars they end up getting involved in are already of supernatural proportions; be it a bitter feud between two vampire clans or an entire academy of mages looking to clear out a major cabal of fairfolk and vice versa.

Either way, money is money, so it's not like the nature of the conflict, or who really wins in the end, really matters all that much.
