Ocuta MK74 "Pathfinder"

Share

Back in the day, the Ocuta MK74 "Pathfinder" was known as one of the most advanced robots ever designed in Sector 8. With a highly flexible A.I., an easily customizable design and state of the art scanners and optics preinstalled, it was conceived as the perfect robot for search and rescue missions, as well as exploration in dangerous locations.

However, while this is what it was made to be, the MK74 was remembered in an unexpected and sinister way. Indeed, the fact that it could search for people using its A.I. and scanners meant that, once reprogrammed and armed, it would gain the potential of being a formidable head hunter, one that would never lose sight of its target. And thus came the MK74's legacy: a merciless mechanical killer, used by any criminal syndicate that could afford it. A legacy made even worse by the fact that the base blueprints were stolen as Ocuta decided to stop the production, before they could destroy them. Since then, they have been duplicated, modified and upgraded by unscrupulous engineers who only care about the money they can make and how many weapons they can fit into the robot's frame.

As far as the Union can tell, nowadays, the MK74 and its illegal successors are still used here and there, as silent, mercilessly efficient eliminators, with an ever increasing lethality.
