I swear here's some investigation, but Sam's Costume ended up been as egyptian as Yu-Gi-Oh.

This is just a wild idea I have about, Sam X and Max Prime powers end up been so powerful they became gods when they blow up. So, the obvious choices (No, they weren't) would be Anubis (This is almost canon!) and the Jade Rabbit, two mythological beings with no relation at all. One is Egyptian and the other Chinesse, one is the god of embalmers and dead, and the other lives in the moon and made a Eternal Life Elixir.
