Say hello to Cyril, the titular character of Cyril the Cylinder!

Cyril is a cylindrical creature made up of four equally-sized segments, which he is able to rotate, remove and re-order at will, although they are usually seen in the order depicted above. One segment contains his face, one his arms, one his legs, and one for extra height. He can use them in order to traverse tricky paths; for example, if he needs to get through a door, and the only way to open the door is by putting something on a pressure plate above, Cyril can simply throw a segment onto the plate and pass through the door. He's also able to move and control each of his segments individually, so he's able to recall the segment he threw onto the plate with ease.

Cyril is a creature of unknown origin who one day awoke from a dormant state, deep within a cave. After managing to get himself to the surface, he stumbled upon the village of Plingplong, and met its leader, Reno. Despite having no idea who or where he was, when the village's most valuable treasure was suddenly stolen by a prolific thief, Cyril immediately jumped into action and set off on a journey to get it back.

Fast forward to the present, and Cyril has made a name for himself as a heroic, energetic adventurer. With his rubber gumboots, his trusty ol' bucket hat and his magical four-fingered gloves, Cyril will stand up to any situation, no matter how big or small. Not only that, he's built up quite the friendship with the residents of Plingplong, who will always have his back when things get tough.

Outside of adventure, Cyril is a pretty chill guy. He enjoys resting in the fields, fishing in the nearby lake and hanging out with his friends. He has quite the curious mind too, and can be seen regularly showing people cool new things he found on his travels. His at-home hobbies include cooking, gardening, crocheting and art.

With many adventures under his belt and a warm, friendly personality to boot, Cyril is perhaps one of, if not the most respected resident of Plingplong besides Reno herself. But the mystery remains... what exactly is Cyril? Why did he wake up from a cave? Was he born... or was he deliberately created? And if so, for what purpose? Perhaps one day, the answers to these questions may come to light...
