The more I see these undead pirates the more an AU comes to mind. In the future after Wano, the strawhats get ambushed and killed by the navy and their loved ones sold of to the celestial dragons. When their souls were about to pass on, DEATH (from castlevania) appears and offers them a deal, become undead and get their revenge against the navy while killing and sending the souls of the marines to death himself.
