Quick concept for one of my animation story ideas.

Here Amber is looking at a locket that was returned to her by her Puffin friend (long story....technically entire story), and while looking at it and reminiscing at the portrait contained within, suddenly begins to fade.

Was trying to figure out some story concepts, such as why a dead character who escaped the grim reaper (Amber is technically dead), couldn't just continue living with no consequences.

Came up with the idea that a dead person or spirit may fade away, or be "ghost-like", trapped in a void and unable to interact with anything if they refuse to pass on to their afterlife for too long (or at the very least it's much harder for them, unfinished ghost business and all that perhaps). Sort of a lingering spirit trapped in a limbo like state.

Grim reaper simply helps them not get to the state and pass on. Still working out details, but fun to use the ol' imagination.

So felt like quickly doing an illustration of the concept. Not perfect, but wanted to get the idea down.
