The soundtrack to his life is a looping construct that's been planned (and produced) before he was born.

He can never adapt to new people or ideas because his mouth was built into a turntable before he could learn to talk.

Despite all his attempts to communicate and relate normally to his peers, in their eyes (and ears), he is nothing more than an old song they've gotten sick of hearing.
